MY LIFE IN A NUT SHELL

Here's what's going on in the Alo Home... whoops! That was a typo. SIMPSON Home :)
On Monday we had dentist appointments with Uncle Chuck which we all passed with flying colors except for a certain 3 year old who has a serious addiction to junk food. She has some "sugar bugs" that need to be fixed. AWESOMMMME! There goes another $1000 down the drain. Later that day the kids had their pictures taken at JCPenney's. They did FABULOUSLY! Kalea had a loose tooth that was hanging on for dear life and we were hoping she'd keep it for the pictures. It ended up staying in until that evening and then that sucker popped out. So OF COURSE the TOOTH FAIRY came and gave her a crisp $1 bill. She was so excited! Oh... and speaking of Mia and bugs... I pulled a tick off her this morning. That sucker fought me with everything it had. In the end I won. Gross little Bugger!
I've been playing around a lot with the girls' hair lately. Kalea's can be pretty crazy. Especially if she doesn't get a bath that morning. So we've been using the good old flat iron to iron out those kinks. She likes it and so does Mia. She always says, "I look like Mommy." Cuties.
Also, I've been planning a baby shower for THIS CHICK.
LISA LARSON

It's her first baby and she's having a GIRL! We're so excited for her. So of course I want this to be the best baby shower EVER. I've been working my booty off trying to make it perfect. It should be a really good time.

Here's the diaper cake I made for her. The shower's not until Saturday but I'm pretty positive she won't be checking my blog between now and then since her Mama's in town.
And Lastly, Poor Man-den Landen had Bronchitis. He's on antibiotics and you would have NEVER known it except he had a low grade fever for 5 days so I finally took him in. He was just as pleasant as ever. I'm glad we caught in the beginning before he felt too miserable. But here's a picture of my smiling tyke... bronchitis and all. Doesn't he just make you MELT?!

♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA ♥

Please excuse the obscene number of pictures of Mia. She was the MOST beautiful baby I had ever layed eyes on. I used to get people stopping me at the store all the time to tell me how pretty she is. When Mia was born we knew from the get go that we were going to have our hands full. And she didn't disappoint. Mia has filled our home with LAUGHTER, DRAMA, and HAPPINESS. We are so blessed to have her in our family.

Little Facts About Mia:

My littlest baby - 6lbs. 6oz.

Easiest Delivery... Worst Labor!

She started crawling at 5 1/2 months.

Walked at 10 months.

LOVED her passy and blanket. She used to make noises thru her passy to "talk". (guh guh guh)

Got a concussion at 11 months.

Had the most beautiful dark hair when she was born. The most out of all my kids.

Has ALWAYS been a Mama's girl. Probably cause she used to sleep in our bed all the time.

Loves junk food.

Broke her arm at 21 months.

Is absolutely HILARIOUS.

Hated Nursery from the start.

Can be very shy.

Broke her leg at 2 1/2 years old. ( i swear i don't abuse my child, she's very fragile and accident prone.)

Lights up our Lives!!!

♥ HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY MIA ♥

YEA FOR HAIRCUTS AND NEW GLASSES!!

Oh yea!  There's a story behind the glasses.  I don't know if some of you remember but about a year ago I had bought some new glasses from Lens Crafters.  I did this without Christian knowing and spend like $400 on this particular pair of glasses.  And to add insult to injury, I opened up a credit card with them so I could pay it off over time without interest for 3 months.  Um... needless to say, Christian was not pleased.  But I loved these glasses.  Anyways, around May we went to VA to see my little niece Kamile be blessed.  During the rush to get out of the car and into the church I picked up a plastic bag and threw garbage, dirty diapers, etc. into this bag.  I went directly into the women's bathroom and tossed it.  I went throughout the entire day thinking that I needed to go and make sure that I hadn't thrown anything important away but I kept ignoring the thought.  So by the time we left back for NC it occurred to me.... CRAP.... my glasses were at the bottom of that bag.  I told Christian and I thought he was going to be so mad but all he said was, "You're not getting new ones."  So I called Kahea (my cousin) when I got home and asked her if someone could check the dumpster for me.  On monday, they did but it was empty. I was so desperate that I even called different garbage companies that I looked up online.  I then remembered a program from church that sunday and looked up the Bishop's last name.  (yes, i am that psycho) and called him at home.  He didn't answer but his teenage son did and I (somehow) convinced him to give me his dad's cell phone number.  So I'm calling this random bishop in the phone and begged him to look in all of the garbages and the dumpster to try and find my glasses.  So he got on it along with some help from their Scout Troop and about 2 hours later he called me and said that the garbages were empty as was the dumpster.  Just my Luck!! Their trash is picked up on Monday mornings.  What are the chances!  So feeling defeated, I let out a good long cry for my pretty Ralph Lauren glasses and moved on with my life.  The glasses that were my back up pair are from high school so their like 10 years old and WAY scratched up.  Not to mention my prescription has probably changed like 5 times since then.  Anyways, back to reality.  I finally got new glasses that look almost exactly like my old ones but are like $300 cheaper.  Christian was proud.  And I fully plan on guarding these glasses like my life depended on it.

CREATE

LOVE ... LOVE ... LOVE THIS!

I'M DORKIER THAN YOU THOUGHT

I needed something new to read that wasn't Twilight. So what have I been reading, you ask? Harry Potter. I've tried to read it like 5 times and I could never get past the first few chapters. Now I'm almost done with the first and am ready to move on to the second. Also, Disney just played Harry Potter and I recorded it to compare to the book when I'm done. I watched the first half of the movie and now when I read the book... I have an english accent. It's really weird. I could never "perform" this accent however, because I would sound like an idiot. Anyways, for awhile I thought that maybe I wasn't "dorky" enough for Harry Potter (sorry wizard fans). But I'm actually enjoying it this time around. However, don't expect me to be dressing up like him for Halloween. That's just weird.
